“I brought Rene a flour cupboard that was my grandmas and needed some TLC. She brought that cupboard back to life and I couldn’t be happier with it!! She kept me updated on the progress with pictures and walked me through everything that she was doing. Seeing the finished product brought tears to my eyes!”

I have only known Rene Ivers a few years, but I was immediately impressed with her artistic ability not only on refurbishing furniture but her artwork and the different ways she can display that artwork whether wood or cast iron skillets or canvas it is brilliant. In my personal opinion her greatest accolade was the way she restored Big Ben Presbyterian Church she refinished Pew by pew and the pulpit and she did an impressive job our church looks absolutely gorgeous I would recommend Rene for any project and I’m not just saying that because I’m her friend. “We’re new to Rapid City and wanted an end table (water damaged) and a nightstand (sun faded) redone. VERY hard to find anyone doing this kind of work in Rapid, 1st 2 I tried to find per Google were closed. Found Rene…out by Nemo…very friendly, very good pricing and got the 2 pieces back in 2 maybe 3 weeks around XMas holidays…very happy with her work, the nightstand is from a solid cherry heirloom quality bedroom set i’very had for some 40 years. She had to use a golden oak stain!!!! to match the patina the piece had exclusive of the sun fading. The end table was an ebony color with a kind of burl top…she redid the entire piece (beyond the initial damage) and fixed a slight wiggle in one of the legs…over and above what I expected. She has a personal high standard of excellence…ie the piece has got to be right in her eyes. I’m taking a dining table and possibly a headboard in next. With all the mystery woods coming from Vietnam or who knows where in the furniture stores today, her services on older “real” furniture are invaluable.”
